INSIDE STUDIO - LADY GAGA needs to slow down & new music from Tech Messiah

Lady Gaga needs to slow it down just a bit. Seems she's working too hard. She should try my approach and sleep in until 12pm and then get up and do some 4 or 5 hours of recording followed by lots of drinking and then bed.

This last week she collapsed while doing a show in West Lafayette, Indiana and was advised by her doctor to take some time off. Do what you doctor says Miss Gaga ..... we need your great music and your awesome fashion sense ... it brightens up our days. I wish Lady Gaga a quick recovery and I want to dedicate this new track to her.

The new song is titled SNARE ON FIRE IN THE ARCADE and I think you are going to find it quite exciting. Yeah, it doesn't really have anything to do with Lady Gaga but who knows ..... maybe I'll mention her in the lyrics. I love the organ breakdown in the bridge. Can't wait to write some vocals for this one.

Soundgarden is Back

Yes.... Soundgarden fans can rejoice. I heard that Chris Cornell announced this new years day that Soundgarden will be getting back together after 10 years apart. That's friggin' cool. I miss that band. I like Audioslave but it will be great to hear the old Soundgarden again. Gee, how I miss the 90's.

TECH MESSIAH is coming

Enough living in the past. It's a new year. It's 2010 and I'm moving forward with the production of this album that we're working on. It's taking over my every thought. I find myself day dreaming of a post-apocalyptic world that is ruled over by a Tech Messiah (I love the way his initials are TM .... like trademark). I do most of this day dreaming while I'm in the bathroom taking a shower. That's a good time to daydream....don't you think.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND - ON DRUGS?

Yes..... We do have a new track for you. There's a good likelyhood I've posted this before under a different name but this time round I'm calling it Snicker Snee. "Why Snicker Snee?" you ask. Well, I've been reading a couple of comic book series called RETURN TO WONDERLAND and BEYOND WONDERLAND (published by Zenescope Entertainment).



These comics are great and if you like the though of WONDERLAND being a nightmarish and murderous place then this is the comic for you. So, you see, Snicker Snee is a derivative of Snicker Snack which I'm sure you know was a word used in the JABBERWOCKY poem by Lewis Carroll. Carroll is also known for  ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND which these comics are based on. Just what the hell was Lewis smoking when he wrote this stuff. What a freak.

INSIDE STUDIO - BUM BUM track now called MINISTRY OF HATE

If you've been paying attention you will know that I've been working on this little track temporarily titled BUM BUM. Well, it finally has lyrics and a proper name. This track will now be known as MINISTRY OF HATE and here are the lyrics which I hope to be recording to vocals very soon.

Well.....there you go. Another fine song with lyrics attached to it. Very angry lyrics that I'm not entirely sure I like. Matter of fact I may just scrap the hook completely. I like the verses but I hate the hook. I just don't know....

I'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow. You should give me  input on this one. Do you think I'm too preachy? That's funny...I'm working on an album about a friggin' Tech Messiah and I'm worried about sounding preachy in my songs.

Writing lyrics is probably my most unfavorite thing about the songwriting process. I have to listen to the track over and over and over and over before I can get an idea of what I want to do and by then I'm sick of it. AAAAIIIGGGGHHHH!!!!

Also, I always feel like I'm screwing the song up somehow by adding my voice. Yeah, that's probably a silly hangup but I have it regardless.

Yeah, I'm working on lyrics for a track that is currently titled "Bum Bum" because I'm too lazy to give it a proper title just yet. I love this one. It's all from the perspective of good little "Tech Messiah" soldiers who are willing to march off to war at any moment. Do you feel outcast? Do you need a place to belong? Join the TECH MESSIAH YOUNG PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE and you will find a place where you belong.

Soon as I'm finished with the lyrics I'll be nice and post them.....that is if I don't lose my mind from listening to this track for the millionth time.

Brian reports on the TECH MESSIAH song.....

Decided to save this one for Christmas day. Thought it could be everyone's Christmas surprise. The suspense is killing you....isn't it? Well, don't worry.....I won't make you wait to open your present. Here it is.....the TECH MESSIAH song is finally pretty much finished. There's some final mixing that needs to be done but essentially this track is a keeper.

INSIDE STUDIO - Tech Messiah REBORN with fancy new robot voice

Brian Copeland here with more news from inside Aromatone Studios. More progress on the TECH MESSIAH album.

The verses in the TECH MESSIAH song are finally finished. Our robotic messenger tells us about our silicon savior and how to pray to our new love and lord. As I pointed out in a previous blog....this one reminds me so much of the track SHEEP by PINK FLOYD from the ANIMALS album. There is a lot of irony in this discovery. The ANIMALS album is supposed to be loosely based on George Orwell's book "Animal Farm" and the TECH MESSIAH album is loosely based on the book "1984" by the same author. Very interesting. And both tracks have spiritual readings done through a vocoder. Also very interesting.

Familiar eyes stair back at me In so many people I see, who are we, the second coming, here as many? Visitors from other shores? Genetically elevated eyes to see above the stars and into our own souls? Whatever, wherever, whenever... we are here.  We have no idea what we hold in our own hearts but we feel it there, pulsing to express to grow, to be more… to connect to the lost ones found in these glory years.  Our wandering is over… our becoming is at hand.
