If you've been paying attention you will know that I've been working on this little track temporarily titled BUM BUM. Well, it finally has lyrics and a proper name. This track will now be known as MINISTRY OF HATE and here are the lyrics which I hope to be recording to vocals very soon.

Writing lyrics is probably my most unfavorite thing about the songwriting process. I have to listen to the track over and over and over and over before I can get an idea of what I want to do and by then I'm sick of it. AAAAIIIGGGGHHHH!!!!
Also, I always feel like I'm screwing the song up somehow by adding my voice. Yeah, that's probably a silly hangup but I have it regardless.
Yeah, I'm working on lyrics for a track that is currently titled "Bum Bum" because I'm too lazy to give it a proper title just yet. I love this one. It's all from the perspective of good little "Tech Messiah" soldiers who are willing to march off to war at any moment. Do you feel outcast? Do you need a place to belong? Join the TECH MESSIAH YOUNG PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE and you will find a place where you belong.
Soon as I'm finished with the lyrics I'll be nice and post them.....that is if I don't lose my mind from listening to this track for the millionth time.
Decided to save this one for Christmas day. Thought it could be everyone's Christmas surprise. The suspense is killing you....isn't it? Well, don't worry.....I won't make you wait to open your present. Here it is.....the TECH MESSIAH song is finally pretty much finished. There's some final mixing that needs to be done but essentially this track is a keeper.

The verses in the TECH MESSIAH song are finally finished. Our robotic messenger tells us about our silicon savior and how to pray to our new love and lord. As I pointed out in a previous blog....this one reminds me so much of the track SHEEP by PINK FLOYD from the ANIMALS album. There is a lot of irony in this discovery. The ANIMALS album is supposed to be loosely based on George Orwell's book "Animal Farm" and the TECH MESSIAH album is loosely based on the book "1984" by the same author. Very interesting. And both tracks have spiritual readings done through a vocoder. Also very interesting.

Genetically elevated eyes to see above the stars and into our own souls? Whatever, wherever, whenever... we are here. Brian here reporting in from today's recording session.
Finally we hear the teachings of the Tech Messiah delivered by a speaker with a sexy metallic voice. So put on your headphones and let the soothing sounds of his golden throat wash over you. If you are really good the sounds might activate the sleeper technology the government has placed inside of you via vaccination.
A progress update for our fans. Here is an updated version of the track "Snare In The Arcade". It has quite a different feel with the organ part added in the verses. Hope everyone likes the direction this song is taking and please leave us a comment and share your feelings on this new track.
Hopefully you hear more of the Arcade Fire influence to this song now that the organ is there.
There are a couple of songs that are going to need vocals soon. I'm going to have to sit down and write lyrics soon. You might find me hiding out in a local coffee house with headphones on and a notepad in my hands. I find it best to get out of the studio when I'm writing lyrics. Gives me a new perspective I suppose.
I've got the television on in the background while I'm writing this and I just have to interject and say that Bon Jovi is playing on the Ellen show. Ah the soothing smooth rock of Bon Jovi. I just love saying "slippery when wet".
For now I'm calling this one Snare In The Arcade because it's strongly inspired by the works of Arcade Fire ... although you can't really tell just yet. Wait until I get the organs in there....then you'll see just what I'm getting at.
It's been a busy day and I have new material to prove it. This track is brand new and very rough but I'm letting you hear it regardless.

Here are two fresh new jams from the TECH MESSIAH recording sessions. These tracks don't have proper titles just yet but they will soon enough.
This first track has been tentatively titled ZippityZipZip. I really like this one. It sounds extremely rough at this stage but you can hear why it's alluring to me.
The second track isn't so alluring to me but I think it has potential. Or maybe I'll just shove it off into the distance for effect.....I don't know....it's too early in the morning to make these huge decisions. Here's the track
Yes, the flagship Euphonic Dissonance recording computer has been brought back from a viral illness. It's so clean and pretty. We are back into the recording process and here is what we've done today.
Added a guitar part to the verses in the track temporarily titled Bum Bum. My thumb is killing me from playing guitar but it was worth it. Finally figured out how to automate the wah wah effect. It sounds so cool. Here it is....
Another new track in the works. This one almost got away from me and I apologize for not having it posted sooner but I experienced some technical difficulties when working on it. Those have been fixed now and here is the saved product. I love where this track is going. It's so bumpin'.
Yeah....again....I really like the direction of this one. The drums in the verse have such a hip hop feel and I really love that. Remind me of Cypress Hill. Be sure to leave a comment and tell us what your impression is.
Sitting in bed - in the bedroom - with the lights off - the air conditioner on full blast - it's a rainy day outside - I'm listening to Imogen Heap's new album "Ellipse" -----and as far as I'm concerned --- this is what makes life worth living. I love how technology allows me to access any album I want to hear from any computer in my house via the wonders of WI-FI. I hereby thank my fore fathers (and mothers...no one ever says anything about the fore mothers) for allowing me to live a life of such excess. It's good to be a fat lazy american. I appreciate the life god has given me and I don't thank him nearly enough for the blessings he bestows on me.
I like to listen to another artists work before I begin to work on music. I find it gives me a sense of direction. I'm not exactly sure where this Imogen Heap album is directing me but I'm really thrilled that I heard her say LEGOLAND EMPIRES just now in the lyrics of the song "EARTH" track 4. Ah, I want to build my own LEGOLAND EMPIRE. I want to hide away there and just play with legos all day long.
I'm finding it very hard to let go of my recluse lifestyle. I like shutting myself off from the rest of the world for long periods of time. It allows me time to find myself again. However, I'm pretty sure I found myself a long time ago. I just don't want to leave the safety of the fold. I did go out recently though. I attended a poetry slam with newest Euphonic Dissonance band mate Sarah Star. Quite a delightful scene they have going at the Agora coffee house. What a incredible outpouring of angry - jagged poetry. It was like an emotional roller coaster ride through my soul. Being a musician and a lyricist I have always been fascinated with the design and execution of poetry. This should be no surprise - I did start reading Shakespeare about the same time I hit puberty. Good lord I was a messed up child. Now I'm a messed up adult. Why is it the world continues to change but I remain the same. I suspect the squids have something to do with it.
Meanwhile at the Agora coffee house..... an honorable mention goes out to poets Seth Walker and Claire Collins. Wow, way to rock the house with some amazing use of the english language.
Seth Walker delivers a message that you just can't ignore even if you don't necessarily agree with it.
Somehow I seriously doubt he gives a sh*t if you don't agree with it. I respect that. His delivery is that of a good novel ..... here in lies that emotional rollercoaster ride I mentioned earlier. I almost cried when he read the open letter to his little brother who was thinking of joining the Navy. By the by ..... Seth ain't too cool with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and he definitely makes that clear. He's traveling across are great nation with a message for every american and near as I can tell one of those messages is "WAKE THE FU*K UP YOU DUMB ASS LAZY AMERICANS AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE SH*T THAT IS GOING DOWN AROUND YOU". Now I have to throw a shout out to the poet that invited us to this event. CLAIRE MOTHERFU*KIN' COLLINS is a phenomenal poet that has a delivery that resembles that of a chainsaw buried into your skull. You can tell that she has a message and she'll tear right through you to deliver it.
Hmmm, she seems subdued in that video clip. You're truly missing out. You need to go see her live.
Well, I suppose it's about time I did something productive. Time to take all these influences and put them to work on creations of the Euphonic Dissonance kind. If you're lucky you might hear from me later today with more musical creations from the musical group known as ED. Love you all.

Busy busy busy busy busy. Wow, what a creative day this has been. Look at what I have to show for all my sweet labors - an almost finished track which we are calling Tech Messiah 3 for the moment and a fresh concept of something totally new that I've titled New Bass Line (yeah, I didn't spend a lot of time thinking that one up). I have a sneaking premonition that the track titled TECH MESSIAH 3 will probably be the first track of the album. The intro track if you will to this our concept album. Looking forward to finally delivering a finished piece of art to the masses. A long string of events that tell a story of the delivery of the lazy human to a land of thriving technology where you give yourself over to be controlled by the machine. A place where you fall asleep dreaming of jagged metal lips touching your soft skin. Here's a new track for our thirsty fans. If you read the last blog that contained the Crunkin' Messiah track you'll hear that it's coming along quite nicely. Almost sounds like an entire song now. Definitely has a feel to it now. I pulled out the old Boss Hyper Fuzz pedal for the guitar in the hook of the song. God that thing sounds great. That don't make that pedal anymore.
Oh, Chef Ramsey - let me count the ways I love you. I would come up with a really large number.
For those of you that don't enjoy the show Hells Kitchen because you think Gordon Ramsey is to abusive - SCREW YOU!!! You obviously haven't worked in many kitchens....have you? This is often the way things are handled in a restaraunt kitchen. It's a high stress environment and people tend to crack. You're working around extremely hot equipment ... it's a million degrees in a kitchen ..... the ovens don't run cold for god's sake ..... you're racing the clock to get the food out to the customer .... you're sweating and rushing and suddenly you just want to friggin' explode!!!! That's what a commercial kitchen is like. It's nothing like your cozy little kitchen at home. Gordon Ramsey knows how to control that type of environment. It's either shape up right the fu*k now or get your ass out of his kitchen. I respect the man for what he does and judging for the restaurants he owns and the 3 or 4 shows he has on television .... he does it really well.
If you don't like all the cursing on the show ..... it's okay, this is America and in this part of the world we bleep that sh*t out. Cause here in America we don't like no wordy dirds on our programs. We also don't like no girls boobies or vagininie to be shown. However, it's perfectly okay to show gratuitous amounts of violence. We like that here in the good ol' USA - don't we? Hey, Chef Ramsey, next season you should seriously punch someone on your show right in the head .... oh no ..... better yet ...... pull a gun on the person and threaten to shoot them!!! Yes, that would friggin' rock!!!

We are the machine, the pure mathematics of the soul… we are individual programs running with the ability to become aware.. to choose to see, (enlightenment); choose to see what direction to move in. We get feedback from the hologram, the shell surfacing us and we brows the periphery like web-spiders for information. Others become complacent, stuck, anchored down by the learning and loops and walls and mostly the fear of the unknown, fear of failure. The only thing that will save us now is to be comfortable in the moment, loosen the straps and safety belts… prepare to jump out and I recommend the sooner the better. This wave will wash over you sooner or later, if it hasn’t already.
Why is it always darkest before the dawn?? Because this is the moment where light and dark meet. The contrast of extremes creates beauty. Balance is in the perception of life… our perspective… the rainbow… this is the choice we have, how we choose to see.. then we choose to move. Triangulation of the soul, body, spirit, the trine nature is always present. The trine nature, duplicated… is life!
Once we choose the middle, only neutrality is possible, mobility and evolution is lost.
The center, (1) is only a starting point, nothing gets accomplished, moved, acted out, expressed… in the middle. The 1, (One) is the recognition of potential, the act of non-directional momentum, unharnessed energy. As it expands, more and more exists… momentum without direction being chaos.. which by it’s very random nature, always eventually forms mathematically precise patterns; thereby, always knowing the “areas of freedom”; the circumference creates, or rather IS the 0, (Zero)… which is the foundation of all life and energy; the hologram; information or circumference of the whole.
There is no 1 without the zero, or zero without One… but we can see that the ‘One and Zero’ (via constant vibratory motion), begin to form repeats of patterns over and over again, creating a division of the whole, a layer within… yin yang, polarity, creating “Unity” rather than “Oneness”. This Unity is balance… The Fractal begins.
A friend’s analogy is a sort of hour glass spinning through the cosmos… the sand playing its part on either side it finds itself on. Using that analogy; floating from one side to the other we’re engaged in the activity, with the mobility to move through and back to the other side. When anything is in the middle, sticking inflexibly to one state or position, it is immobile, inflexible, stagnate… and so are we.
2, (TWO).. Awareness of SELF.
…is where separation and unity begin via. definition. Action can be triangulated because three elements now exist… the 1, 0, and 2. 1 is the center focus, the beginning.. 0, the circumference or areas of freedom and 2 the first cell division which brings opportunity for unity rather than oneness…. It all comes down to action, one can not recognize the one unless it becomes 2. One can only see self if we are looking out of self; without a mirror or division, self perception would not be possible. Unity would not be possible... until division, movement, growth or expansion is NOT possible.
How hard we try to crawl back into each other, when what we always wanted was to stand side by side, hand in hand, having someone to curl up next to while we experience more of of the diversity and beauty of us.
Nothing can exist without it's full dimensional qualities. 1-0-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-1-0------------ This adds another perspective to "All or nothing.." but it's really all AND nothing. Nothing can be first or last because it always is/was/will be. One can not exist without the other, ever.... but time is the great organizer, it shows us the information at the point of triangulation!

Moving closer to TIME:: Prequel, MMmm... sweet temptation.
Figure 1.1 illustrates how the universe is constructed of imbedded or nested layers of physical structure and dynamics. Molecules are made of atoms, atoms are made of leptons, etc. These are not dimensions existing independent of each other but are intermingled together interpenetrating each other. The lower frequency dimensions or realms of existence are predicated on or effectuated by the higher frequency realms, dimensions, planes or levels. The finer levels are the building blocks of the lower realms. In other words there can be no molecules without atoms; no atoms without electrons; no electrons without photons; no photons without quarks, etc. The structure of these nested realms are held (Keely) to be indentical on all levels much like the imbeddedness of fractal math and images.
What is really going on, in space-time... reality? Your reality is defined by your Perspective... the triangulation... the rainbow ;) and how intimate that connection is! How do you move you?

The cellular shell, circumference… the hologram of the all… the information, the mystery in a perfect state of revelation… always exists. Time, timelessness.. Weight, weightlessness, all as pure... unconditional existence... and non-existence, duality contained,....the nature of movement within Phase Space... one movement effects all things, the fractal nature... One is the I, The first dimension, the one before and within all. The one is the beginning, (which is also the end)… It is the first step in any direction, the laser precise clarity, the one calling, one love, one atom, the singular note, the cellular center or nucleus. One is non-directional momentum.... (more at another time)
I’ll not know until the end.. and then I will still see ahead as there is no head in the last moment of physical awareness… the lost ones see the last moment and we wreck the lost souls in the blue room of management…. Alone -alone -alone in all things and always together… clarity is not a true statement, how can clarity be anything true and real? Fat lost dog… rolling down the street in the rat race of earths coming- of our coming of the lost who has always been here.
Michael.. the angel, lost a moment to gain it all. He knew, he knows that more will be gained on the other side. The moment gained in the lost… in the lost… in the lost lucidity of my mind reaching out to run and fall and fly into your abyss. Consult your leaders and our angel will be here. I knew that the last moment would be the perfect time… what is going on?? Who said that the moment was now? Was it us in our lost- last- long moment of lifetimes ago??? Where are we and how are we alive in the now and here of earths history? How incredible that we are here now and wait… you’re eyes pierce me, you are inside all the moments of my, our life, you are… I am… we are… the last moment.
Release
Fast- hard- real, yet rough to touch and painful to feel. Free in a box of lies, we release the chain holding our heavy stone to roll and fall until it falls apart becoming particles of dust in the abyss of our lost moments of life. Reality? Really? You still believe that we can hold clear a still picture of truth??? We are in flux and movement- always riding waves and particles of dust… star dust breathing in, bathing in, loving in, being in the moment – the moment we predict is the moment we loose all ability to see true. Relax, we’ve always been here being- breathing- knowing without knowing without knowing without knowing, we know. Indestructible Christmas piñata… I’ve watched you burst open with songs of broken joy in the last, our moments of penance and prosperity. Sing to us as we have always been… roll with us in our singular joy… our solitude of tribal hauntings. WE are the connection… the synergy of all, the eternal moment seized and finally freed in this, our peak of perfection in all its flaws.
Release me and we gain each other…. Release the world and the world is renewed becoming again… mother.

Mention me in your moment of life, not life… the relapse of momentum is hard to take. The number 13, the rolling of blasphemy’s whore into your waiting heart… innocence is true, it is real and it deserves reevaluation in this new day of death and life. Speak to me in the blanket of our lost fever… the rumble of truth and untruth spoken with a word. I know you saw me, I know you still want to see, but you are getting in the way of yourself… and I’m letting you as I always will. No fear, we will come around again, we will BE again… love is never lost and we were the most that have ever been. The following explanation is taken from Saint-Martin's book "on Numbers" ;
"The natural Circle has shaped itself in a different way from the geometrical circle. The center has attracted the upper triangle and the lower triangle, both of which, reacting on one another, have manifested Life.
It is then that the quadruple Man appeared. It would be impossible to find this quadruple priciple in the circle without tracing lost or superfluous lines, if we are limiting ourselves to the methods of mathematics.
Nature looses nothing: it coordinates all parts of its works, the one with the other. So, in the Circle regularly drawn by Nature, we can see the two triangles, uniting to determine the emancipation of Man in the Universe and Man's place in relation to the divine center.
We can see [in the symbol of the Pantacle] that the Light receives Life only by the reflections surging from the opposition that the True receives from the False; that the Light receives it from the Darkness; and that Life, in matter, always depends upon both actions. We see that the fourfold Man embrases the six directions of the Universe, and that those [six] regions, being bound two by two [in the triangles], the power of Man operates within a triple fourfold in the location of his glory.
Here are manifested the laws of this superb knowledge, of which the Chineese have left us some traces, I mean the knowledge of the keou-kou. Man, by giving in to guilty incitations, has left the divine center, where he was originally placed; but even though he has left it, the center is still at its place, as it cannot be moved by any force at all. (Sedes tua in seculum seculi. Ps. 14:7)
So, since Man has left his glorious post, it is the Divinity that is ready to replace him and to operate for him, in the universe, that same Power of which he has been dispossessed by his mistake. But when the Divinity takes the place of Man, it is dressed in the same colors, and is attached to the material regions, where Man was originally established, as it is impossible to appear at the center of this circle without being placed at the midst of all those regions.
Here is what the study of the natural circle can reveal to the intelligent eye. The figure represented, although imperfect, can indicate the way.

Introduction
One of the great theoretical findings of modern physics is that time travel appears to be feasible under certain conditions (Halper, 7; Hawkins, 8). It is Einstein’s general theory of relativity that has brought time travel from the realm of pure science fiction to that of a theoretical possibility. Moreover, not one but several means of time travel have been discovered. Most involve strong gravitational fields that distort space and time. In the theory of general relativity, the three dimensions of space combine with the dimension of time to create a new entity, spacetime. Space and time are intimately related and cannot be separated from one another. Very massive objects distort the local space-time continuum, allowing time travel.
We will see that if time travel is feasible, then time periods must coexist and if this is so, then the past must be as indeterminate and variable as the future. If the past is variable rather than frozen, then why would the present follow only one history? If all those time periods do coexist, then, why is our perception of time limited only to the present? And finally, how could we use this new understanding to our advantage? Our new vantage point is obviously very different from the accepted notion that the past is frozen and that only the future is indeterminate. The various recent science fiction movies concerning time travel also attest to the firm belief that changing the past automatically changes the present. But first, we will briefly review the various means of time travel.

I don't think that until now, I've been able to actualize the skill of loving any experience unconditionally.... at least to this capacity. I feel at this moment as if I can, (on most levels) handle anything that comes... More-so, I KNOW it will be handled by whoever touches it, in the way it was always to be handled because from this perspective, time only exists as a means of organization... we are everywhere at once, non-liner, multidimensional beings with ability beyond our current knowing. ((Imagine the past, future and present is altered with everything we do, see, say, and experience... sort of a quasi Phase Space nature, with holographic circumference or shell like an egg. The surface shell acts as the area of choice in a fractal, or the parameters of freedom in phase space. Adding the element of fractal mathematics brings you a picture of an all inclusive all connected and wholly effected universe who's shell, surface or hologram and dimensions within, is infinitely repeating in the macro and microcosm always... an egg, within an egg, within an egg,.....)) Sacred geometry, alchemy, music/vibration, science, physics, religion, and all elements of the physical, emotional etc. is the data, the information given naturally to us to remember the code through awareness and recognition of the possibilities of life in all it's facets.
It feels as if we've been training ourselves for this recognition... learning how to handle it, being trained to see in another way, feel in a deeper way, experience life in a deeper and more expansive way... through new eyes... as ancient children coming to realize our potential. Suddenly we are waking up to the connections and disconnections we have in the people around us. The body is built to receive and send signals, a construct of perfection that has yet to have lived out it's potential... chemical, physical, spiritual, emotional... all necessary elements to create the environment for balance. All provided to triangulate a direction, the combination reaches this polarity and gently rolls back in as all space and time must. In truth, we are always in the expanse and the micro of it all... from where we choose to see it is the key... only you can see from where you are... others see from where they are... never exactly the same rainbow. We are now being given a choice to recognize that we are coming back together and that this love is reciprocal.... If we try to know the difference between the chemical, physical, emotional and spiritual elements of love, we loose perspective ....balance On a purely internal level there is no need to retract, deny or suppress what is naturally expressive and perfectly balanced in that expression. In the right circumstances It is the external act that is the point of triangulation... once it is outside self... we become more of self, our areas of freedom expand and we can see further than we ever had before.... in this time ;)
Love is the answer, the sort of love that frees your mind and body and spirit to soar or scream... the kind of love that is all freeing and all engulfing, the kind of love that brings a peaceful excitement to every moment of your life, the kind that empowers you to walk into and through your feelings and not away from them... it is non judgment at it's core... being able to love an experience in the moment without the fear of loosing the moment... loving so deeply that from this perspective, any pain is used for release, respected, then transformed by an ongoing knowing of forgiveness.... this must be what Grace is like.
We're being renewed, reset in cycles and every experience is different than the one before, every day is different than the day before… sometimes even moment by moment my perspective shifts within itself and I feel deeper, know deeper… perceive another unexpected angle… and I laugh, or cry… however it strikes me. but it still somehow always amazes me how new the world looks every day and how I’m getting comfortable within this constant change. My “parameters of freedom” keep reveling more… never have I seen so much…. or felt so deeply. I’ve found balance within myself.. and it’s not the middle… the middle is not where you’ll find balance in most situations; Action creates balance… motion, movement toward and through the experience with eyes wide open.. flexibility… mobility.
We're all being given the opportunity to use what is revealed to us... The only way to see is to open your eyes… look for the things and people around you that connect, know there is purpose in every moment and we move within this purpose created by us in the timelessness of all creation. Mmmmm…. comforting isn’t it.
From the recognition of the whole, (Zero) we become aware of the ego or singular, (One) which through recognition, (soon to come) a direction triangulates and action, (One) has direction.

Here I am listening to Regina's new album and I'm suddenly washed over by a tide of anger. I think it's anger (I never like to assume what the author intends. I wasn't there. I don't know what was in their head.) or at least it seems like anger. The song is so aggressive. It's damn sexy. I seriously want to cover this song but I never follow through on doing cover songs. I'm fickle like that.
I've been doing a lot of reading about internet piracy and copyright infringement. As a musical artist these kind of things interest me. There are really good arguments for and against policing the net for said pirates.
I was reading about the legal battle that The Pirate Bay is currently involved in. They're a Swedish group of individuals that have a bittorrent website where you can find all kinds of copyrighted material that is free to download. Well .... it was there that I found an article about author Paulo Coelho aka Pirate Coelho.
He claims that posting his works on the internet for everyone to download actual increased his book sales from 3000 to one million in three years. Can this really be true? Well, if you read the wiki article he's no small fry. This guy knows his stuff and it's given me a lot of food for thought.
I believe that copyright is important in order to protect an artists property but at the same time the enforcement methods that are being used aren't working. YOU CAN'T STOP THE PIRACY!!! I strongly believe that to be true - that's why I typed it in all caps. Just as soon as they stop one website another one pops up. Suing an individual for millions of dollars doesn't impress anyone and the new method of trying to get the isp to do something isn't effective either.
What is the solution? Here's an idea for you - stop spending all your money on thwarting piracy and divert that money towards creating a great product that people will actually want to buy. Seems that these pirate sites are free publicity for these businesses and they are trying to shut them down. I believe that the majority of people on the internet aren't pirates. You have to have a lot of computer know-how to be a good internet pirate and most people don't have that knowledge. The small group of pirates downloads a ripped-off version and then tells all their non-pirate friends how great the book/movie/album is. WORD OF MOUTH. The pirate might try to explain to the non-pirate how to get it for free but the non-pirate is confused by all this tech talk and just downloads the book/movie/album from a legitimate site like iTunes. Looky there - they just made a sale. Funny how that works. Free friggin' advertising!!!!
This has led me to wonder if we should just post Euphonic Dissonance's music on a bittorrent site for free download. It worked well for Paulo - why can't it work for ED. If Euphonic Dissonance was more popular someone would rip our cd and put it out there anyway so why not beat them to the punch.
I really want to hear more opinions on this matter. Do you think that posting our songs for free would boost our sales? Has anyone heard of other success stories similar to Mr. Paulo Coelho?
Just want to give the fans a little taste of the upcoming Tech Messiah album. Here's a little ditty (just a single verse and chorus) of something I started working on a couple days ago. We have a new laptop and it gives me the ability to write songs on the go. Gotta love that. Let me know what you think of this track thus far.

It took ten albums before I really enjoyed a Lips album all the way through but their album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots is a work of indie rock genius.

CLEVELAND (Billboard) - After weeks of controversy and uncertainty, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry is scheduled to sign an executive order Tuesday (April 28) that names the Flaming Lips' "Do You Realize??" as the official rock song of Oklahoma.
Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne told Billboard.com that the experience has been alternately exciting and disappointing, and, in quintessential Lips fashion, always surreal.
"It just seemed to me the whole thing was absurd to begin with, and now it even becomes more absurd," Coyne said. "Now I really feel like it's something worth fighting for because I don't want people to just think, 'Oh, Oklahoma is this backward state as we suspected.'"
The Oklahoma City band has watched as its popular song (from 2002's "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots") won an Internet contest for best Sooner State rock song -- over tracks by The All-American Rejects, Leon Russell and The Call. Over the course of a month, the Oklahoma state senate passed a measure to officially name the song the state's rock anthem, and then the state House of Representatives rejected it because band member Michael Ivins wore a T-shirt adorned with the image of a hammer and sickle, a Communist symbol.
"You know, when it happened a couple of months back, that seemed surreal ... and then when all of this (controversy) started, I think everybody's knee-jerk reaction in the beginning was, 'Ah, we knew it was too good to be true. That's more of the Oklahoma we thought we were dealing with,'" Coyne said. "But it's not true, and I think that's the main reason I wanted to make sure I got to say something about it.
"I don't think we're battling against what we feel is like a backwards mentality here. It's really just a few religious wackos that think they can tell everybody what to do. It's not even, to me, (a matter of) Democrats versus Republicans. It's really just a couple of these small-minded guys who are the most popular guys in their church and their little small towns. In some ways it's so absurd, it can only make us look good and them look stupid."
For Coyne, the best part of the ordeal is Gov. Henry's veto of the House's rejection of the contest results.
"There are a lot of other great things that are happening in Oklahoma," Coyne said. "And you know for the governor to stand up and veto it and be on our side, it's such a great story in the end."
Coyne hinted that the band has one more wrinkle planned for Tuesday's ceremony, when Henry will sign the executive order at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.
"I think we'll print up a couple of thousand of these (hammer-and-sickle) T-shirts, and everybody who comes to this thing will be wearing one," Coyne said. "We'll see if we can get the governor to wear one too."

I have a confession to make. I'm a huge fan of the X-Men character Wolverine. I have been collecting comics about him since childhood and that is primarily the only comic book I will read. I'm kinda a Wolverine snob in comic book reading circles. I'm the guy who pisses off all the other comic reading dorks because I think that Wolverine can kill all their favorite sissy ass characters in a fight to the death.

Bone claws!!!! They went and gave Wolverine bone-frikkin'-claws in the movie!!!

I hate BONE CLAWS!!! What kind of smeckpepper sauce were the producers of this movie on when they decided to give my favorite frikkin' character in the world of comics bone claws????!!!!! I've been reading Wolverine comics since the 1970's and this bone claw thing is a recent invention of the early 90's. It was jammed into the story to fill a hole. Before that readers were led to believe that Wolverine didn't have the claws until the Weapon X project (the part in the movie where they put all that cool metal onto his skeleton). We were led to believe that tube like structures were surgically installed into his forearm to house the blades. Here's some graphical representations to help you understand what the hell I'm babbling on about.

I rest my case. The bone claw thing is silly and pisses me off. When Marvel ran that story in the comic I wanted to go burn their building to the ground (it's okay Marvel...I've gotten better since then....I would never hurt Stan Lee....and you probably have more than one building).
Beyond that I've got other gripes but I'll leave them dormant for now.
The fight scenes were phenomenal. I could watch those over and over and over. The interaction between Victor Creed (Sabertooth) and Wolvy was off the charts. Hell, I even liked Gambit in this movie and I've never liked Gambit in the comics or animated cartoons. I'm glad the included the scene with Wolvy as a child. Kids around the world are pretending they are Wolverine right now.....Going through the silverware and making mommies good knives into Wolverine claws. Snikt!

Sarah is not a reader of the comic and she said the movie seemed to leave parts of the story out. I tend to agree with her. So many mixed emotions about this movie. It's so confusing. I need a drink.
I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to see a Wolverine movie made in my lifetime - but if I made it - well.....it would be better. NO - it would be perfect.
